485 Toll Lane

Beginning early this year, the NC DOT will begin construction on a new toll lane on I-485. The toll lanes will be between I-77 and 74/Independence Blvd. The state said it plans to sign a design/build contract for I-485 toll lanes in July. Construction would begin in early 2017, the department said, and could be done in about two years.
