So you are thinking or planning on selling your home.  When you come to this decision there are many thoughts and ideas that go through your mind.  Are we really ready to sell? Is the timing right?  How fast will our home sell?  But the big question is, how much can we sell for?  Yes, there are many aspects that go into getting a home sold such as the marketing plan of your agent or the performance of the market in your neighborhood, but to get started on the right path is to price the home properly from the beginning.

According to a recent study the majority of homeowners price their homes about 5-10 percent above what the market says, which leads to less buyer excitement, fewer showings and a home that can sit on the market for a long time.  If the price is right, a home will more likely get a lot more showings and spark interest and in some cases an offer battle between buyers.

If you are getting ready to sell here are some tips to keep in mind when planning with your agent.
